Lyman J. DePriest

Lyman is an entrepreneurial finance and governance professional, technology founder, and community builder operating at the intersection of audit excellence, innovation, and civic leadership.

With 10+ years of internal controls, audit, and risk advisory experience spanning healthcare, nonprofit, banking, retail, and government sectors, he brings rigorous financial oversight capability and cross-sector expertise to every engagement. Currently serving as Senior Manager – Internal Audit at CohnReznick, he works with IPO-stage clients navigating complex compliance and controls environments. Lyman is also serving as an AI Writer for Data Annotation, training AI systems on complex real-world problems.

His career has taken him through some of the most respected names in professional services — Deloitte, EY, Protiviti, and CBIZ — where he managed teams of 3–8 professionals, designed ICFR frameworks, built risk and control matrices, and developed executive dashboards that accelerated SOX issue remediation. His ability to adapt across industries, from Fortune 500 corporations to federal agencies, reflects a genuine versatility in tackling complex challenges.

Outside of audit, Lyman is the CEO of Glocial AI; built at the intersection of community engagement and emerging technology. He previously founded Hypeeye — a platform that scaled to 10,000 users before independence constraints required dismantling the brand. He is a Founding Member and Chapter Organizer of the AI Collective's New Haven County Chapter, expanding AI literacy across communities.

His strong presence throughout Connecticut has been recognized with the 2025 HBi University Black Excellence Lifetime Award and the 2024 One Hundred Men of Color Award at the Bushnell Arts Center in Hartford — honors that reflect both professional impact and a commitment to leadership beyond the workplace.
